Forum Global Celebrates World Space Week 2025

8 October 2025

As we mark World Space Week 2025, the global space community celebrates the remarkable progress made across science, innovation, and policy in this rapidly advancing frontier. In that spirit, we invite you to look ahead to two influential forums convening policymakers, regulators, and industry leaders to shape the next phase of the global space ecosystem.

With momentum building across the Western Hemisphere, the inaugural Americas Space Forum in Washington, D.C. on December 9, 2025 will provide a high-level platform for collaboration across North, Central, and South America, as well as the Caribbean.

As governments, industry leaders, and investors seek to unlock new growth and innovation, this forum will tackle the most pressing questions at the heart of the space economy’s evolution across the region.

With confirmed speakers including:

  • Rep. Valerie. P. Foushee, Ranking Member, U.S. Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics
  • Marco Antonio Chamon, President, Brazilian Space Agency
  • Jay Schwarz, Chief, FCC Space Bureau
  • Janice Starzyk, Acting Director, Office of Space Commerce, U.S. Department of Commerce
  • Michael Overby, Deputy Director for Space Affairs, U.S. Department of State
  • Carlos Manuel Baigorri, President, ANATEL Brazil
  • Sergio Sotomayor Rodríguez, Director General, ANE Colombia
  • Juan Martin Ozores, President, ENACOM Argentina

…alongside a growing list of regulators, policymakers, and innovators shaping space policy and investment across the Americas.

The event offers a unique platform for dialogue on topics including:

  • Launch and access to space
  • Spectrum management
  • Investment and commercialisation of NewSpace
  • Space sustainability and orbital traffic coordination

As in Europe, the Americas Space Forum will be held back to back with its sister event, the Direct-to-Device Policy Forum.

Seen by many as a game-changer for global communications, can it truly reach its full potential, and what key factors will shape its future? Indeed, how can industry and governments collaborate to unlock the full promise of D2D connectivity?

Join us for the answers to the above, and more, in Washington D.C. on December 8, 2025.

Sessions will convene key stakeholders to explore the evolving regulatory landscape, assess technological breakthroughs, examine emerging business models, and address the challenges that lie ahead for the sector.

Confirmed speakers currently include:

  • Carlos Manuel Baigorri, President, ANATEL Brazil

  • Adam Cassady, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary and Deputy Administrator, NTIA

  • Isabelle Mauro, Director General, GSOA

  • Tom Stroup, President, SIA

Building on the continued momentum behind Europe’s space ambitions, the European Space Forum 2026 returns to Brussels as a leading platform for policy alignment, industry dialogue, and international cooperation across the continent.

As the EU sharpens its focus on strategic autonomy, secure connectivity, and sustainable space development, this next edition will land at a pivotal time in the EU institutional cycle, with new mandates taking shape and fresh priorities emerging across the Commission, Parliament, and member states.

Indeed, at the 2025 edition, over 400 senior stakeholders gathered in Brussels to shape the strategic direction of European space. In 2026, we will once again bring together decision-makers and industry leaders at the heart of this evolving policy landscape.

Timed with key EU institutional milestones and geopolitical priorities, the Forum will once again convene:

  • Senior officials from institutions and bodies such as the European Commission, ESA, EU Parliament, and national space agencies
  • Leading voices from the European space industry
  • International allies and stakeholders working toward a common vision for Europe’s role in global space leadership

Key themes for 2026 will include:

  • The implementation of IRIS² and future secure connectivity initiatives
  • Strategic autonomy in launch, access, and in-orbit services
  • EU-level coordination on space traffic management and sustainability
  • Transatlantic and multilateral cooperation in an increasingly complex geopolitical environment
