Reflecting on a Successful Inaugural Caribbean Spectrum Management Conference

19 June 2024

The Global Spectrum Series recently travelled to Jamaica for the very first Caribbean Spectrum Management Conference. This new addition to the Global Spectrum Series was kindly hosted by the Spectrum Management Authority of Jamaica in partnership with the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU) alongside their Spectrum Management Task Force Meeting.

We were delighted to welcome a strong representation of regulators from across the Caribbean, as well as many from outside of the region keen to share their best practices and insights. Discussions centred around delivering strong, sustainable and inclusive connectivity throughout the region with key talking points including WRC-23 outcomes and next steps towards WRC-27, the Caribbean Spectrum Management Policy Framework, 5G rollout, analogue switch-off and more.

If you’d like to catch up on proceedings, you can find full replays of the two-day conference below.

Thanks for our Sponsors & Partners

Many thanks to the Spectrum Management Authority of Jamaica for their generous hospitality and collaboration, not to mention the Caribbean Telecommunications Union for their hard work and support. Thanks also to our valued sponsors & partners, without whom this special first edition of the Caribbean Spectrum Management Conference could not have happened.
