Recap our recent Global Spectrum Series events: The Latin America, Americas, and Sub-Sahara Spectrum Management Conferences

As we wrap up the final quarter of the year, we’re delighted to share the highlights from three of our annual global events that took place in the last few months across the Latin America, Americas, and Sub-Saharan regions.

 

Each event brought together over 250 industry and policy leaders from the respective regions, to discuss pressing themes including:

The 11th Latin America Spectrum Management Conference

 

The 2024 edition was kindly hosted by IFT Mexico and held alongside the CITEL PCCII meeting. It took place in Merida, Mexico on September 22-23. The 13th Americas Spectrum Management Conference

 

The 13th edition of the Americas conference took place last month on October 1-2 in Washington DC, USA. Our keynote speakers included Anna Gomez, Commissioner, FCC and Brendan Carr, who spoke in his capacity as FCC Commissioner, but has since been appointed as the new Chairman.

The 9th Sub-Sahara Spectrum Management Conference

 

Taking place on 6-7 November, the 9th Sub-Sahara Spectrum Management Conference returned to Nairobi, Kenya and Forum Global were delighted to work with CA Kenya, ATU and ITU as supporting partners. The conference was held alongside an ITU/ATU workshop, focusing on “Strategic Satellite Services and Resource Management, which took place on 4-5 November. Key speakers included David Mugonyi, Director General & CEO, Communications Authority of Kenya, John Omo, Secretary General, ATU and Nikolai Vassiliev, Chief of Terrestrial Services Department, ITU.
