2023 so far for the Global Spectrum Series and what’s still to come…

As we go into the second half of 2023, we want to reflect on the Global Spectrum Series events that have taken place already and update you on what is happening for the second half of the year. So far, as part of the 2023 Global Spectrum Series, we have hosted two events:

 

9th Asia-Pacific Spectrum Management Conference  | 25 - 26 April

 

We were joined by over 280 delegates in person and over 150 people virtually at this year's conference in April. Over 35 countries from the Asia-Pacific region joined us in Bangkok with more from further afield. Discussions around WRC-23, 5G advanced and the future of satellites took place over the 2 days, plus we heard case studies from within the region including Bangladesh, India, and China.

18th European Spectrum Management Conference | 6 - 7 June 

 

The second installment of the Global Spectrum Series 2023 took place in Brussels. The 18th European Spectrum Management Conference welcomed over 170 delegates from across Europe. During the conference, attendees heard from over 60 speakers on topics such as RSPP, direct-to-device satellite connectivity, spectrum licensing and awards, and bands including the 3.8 – 4.2 GHz band and the future of the sub-700MHz UHF band.

18th European Spectrum Management Conference

 

In addition to the Global Spectrum Series, Forum Europe and Forum Global have also hosted two events exclusively focused on cellular technology, including:

 

The European 5G Conference  | 13 - 14 March 

 

Forum Europe’s European 5G Conference returned to Brussels in March. We welcomed over 200 delegates from across Europe to hear from more than 60 speakers on critical themes such as investment, security, sustainability, emerging business models, and connectivity.

6G Global Summit | 3 - 4 May 

 

In May, the Forum Global team headed to Manama, in the Kingdom of Bahrain for the 6G Global Summit in partnership with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA). Over 600 people joined us in person and online worldwide to hear from over 50 policymakers and industry leaders.
