The European Data Protection & Privacy Conference 2022 is in just 3 weeks!

10 November 2022

Forum Europe’s Annual European Data Protection and Privacy Conference returns fully in person for its 12th edition on 1 December 2022 at the Stanhope Hotel in Brussels.

The conference will gather 200 cross-sector top level speakers and privacy experts, including policy makers, national regulators, civil industry representatives and industry stakeholders to discuss the most pertinent and timely data privacy issues in Europe

Featuring keynotes from Didier Reynders, European Commissioner for Justice and  Grant Harris, Assistant Secretary of Commerce, Industry and Analysis, International Trade Administration, at the U.S. Department of Commerce, the 2022 edition of this conference will explore the latest European initiatives that aim to fulfil the continent’s privacy and data sovereignty ambitions and how these fit in the global context.

The discussions will examine the following key themes:

The carefully curated agenda will allow delegates an insight into the intersection of the GDPR with the numerous digital files that have been introduced, debated and adopted in the past two years, and will include a panel on the considerations for data privacy and protection in the context of AI governance. Speakers will also discuss how synergies can be created between different data privacy rulebooks worldwide to facilitate trusted data flows. The final session will focus on how our understanding of privacy may evolve as future technologies, such as the metaverse, emerge and on the role that PETs will play in enhancing privacy protections.

Places to attend the event are limited so register now to be a part of the discussion.
