22 October 2021

The Public Sector Transformation Conference returns for its six edition on 28 October 2021.

Entitled ‘Cloud and data policies for a successful, resilient and agile public sector in Europe’ this year’s conference will look at how the COVID-19 crisis has exposed shortcomings in the digital capacity of the European public sector, which has underlined the need to accelerate its technological transformation and re-organisation to enhance responsiveness to current needs and anticipate future challenges

Public sector modernisation was rightly identified as one of the flagships of the EU’s Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) that will help Europe emerge stronger and more resilient from the current crisis. However, for Europe’s public sector digital transformation to be impactful, it is paramount to create the right conditions, from an infrastructure and policy perspective.

Against this background, the 6th edition of the Public Sector Transformation conference will analyse cloud policies for the management of the Public Sector data recently issued by a number of European Member States. It will discuss the industrial policies for the Public Sector cloud in Europe analysing the ability of small and medium European Cloud Service providers to access these markets. It will also focus on the creation of data spaces for the Public Administration and how they can incentivize the generation of news services in Europe.

.Over the years, this flagship public sector modernisation event has gained a reputation as a key meeting point for stakeholders in EU, national, city and local administrations as they develop and implement their distinctive digital visions. This is in addition to numerous experts working at an operational level on both established and up-and-coming local administrative transformation projects.
