Don't miss the inaugural European Space Forum next week!
5 November 2021
We are delighted to present the inaugural European Space Forum, taking place next week on 8 & 9 November on our event platform. We have partnered with ASD-Eurospace and the EMEA Satellite Operators Association (ESOA) to bring you a series of vibrant and thought-provoking debates, featuring over 60 of the most influential people in the European Space ecosystem with over 700 delegates have registered for this event.
While Europe has been at the forefront of space ventures, major technological shifts and disruptive business models are reducing the cost of accessing and using space. We are witnessing an unprecedented level of private investment both from private equity and terrestrial operators into space ventures. Europe’s space sector needs adapt to meet the challenges of this fast-evolving environment and take advantage of new opportunities arising. This new annual conference will bring together key stakeholders from across the space and satellite sectors to debate how this can be achieved.
Our high-level speakers include:
- Thierry Breton, Commissioner of Internal Market, European Commission
- Josef Aschbacher, Director General, European Space Agency (ESA)
- Rodrigo da Costa, Executive Director, European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA)
- Stephen Spengler, Chairman, ESOA
- André-Hubert Roussel, President, Eurospace
Sessions throughout the event will be discussion-based and interactive, with speakers and audience members encouraged to speak freely, challenge each other and pool ideas, as we look to move towards the common goal of securing Europe’s position as a major space player in this exciting new wave of space innovation. You can see the full agenda line-up and list of speakers here.
Alongside the forum, we have launched the “Innovation in Space” award, celebrating projects and organisations which have been implemented in the last 2 years, and are at the forefront of innovation and creative thinking within the European space and space technology sectors. We have shortlisted 4 award finalists:
- iSSI® (intelligent Space System Interface) Modular Coupling Kit (from iBOSS GmbH)
- Isar Aerospace Technologies GmbH
- OKAPI:Orbits GmbH

The winner of the award will be selected by a panel of expert judges consisting of representatives from the European Commission, ESA and leading space and satellites trade associations. Participants at The European Space Forum will also help decide a winner through an audience vote, so have your say and register now!
