Forum Europe Announces its 2nd Digital Services Act Conference

15 December 2020

Following the release of the highly anticipated Digital Services Act and Digital Markets Act today, Forum Europe is pleased to announce our 2nd Digital Services Act Conference which will take place online in February 2021 (date to be announced shortly).

Entitled ‘Shaping Europe’s Digital Future through the DSA & the DMA’ the conference will be one of the first opportunities for stakeholders to come together and reflect on the key provisions of the proposed rules as well as debate the extent to which the framework establishes the right conditions to create a fair, safe, innovative and competitive single market for digital services.

Gathering key policy makers, national regulators, top industry representatives from European and global digital platforms, and representatives from civil society, sessions at the event will explore the following issues:

  • Policy and tech tools to tackle illegal content online in full respect of fundamental rights, as well as detecting and taking down illegal, counterfeit and unsafe products;
  • Targeted advertising and transparency: giving more control to users;
  • Ex-ante prohibitions and the ‘market investigation tool’ for a well-functioning and competitive internal market for digital services;
  • Implementation and Enforcement of the new rules through the European Board for Digital Services;

…and much more!

This event will build on the success of our 2020 Digital Services Act Week which took place between 30 June and 3 July 2020.
