EU Commissioner Mariya Gabriel opens the third edition of Tech Policy Talks

Last week we were delighted to welcome Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth to the third edition of the Tech Policy Talks series, which took place online on November 12 and focused on 'Investing in Europe's Future: Innovation, R&D and Talents'.
The Commissioner spoke about innovation ecosystems across Europe, and how these can be successful through multi-stakeholder involvement and collaborations. She also stressed the importance of helping European innovators through the EU's research programme Horizon Europe, and it's increased funding.
Commissioner Gabriel was later joined by a top line up of panellists, including MEP Cristian-Silviu Busoi, MEP Miapetra Kumpula-Natri, Luisa Henriques, Coordinator for Research and Space, Portuguese Permanent Representation to the EU, Donald J.Rosenberg, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Qualcomm and Bruno Liebhaberg, Director General, CERRE.
Panellists discussed the potential of Europe as innovators, regulation, and the impact of COVID-19 on innovation in the continent. A replay of the session is available here:
The Tech Policy Talks, organised by Forum Europe in collaboration with Qualcomm, gather global experts and policy-makers to offer dialogue on the most topical and pertinent issues in technology and 5G.
