Bringing together policy strands of the new security strategy at the European Security Summit

Forum Europe concluded its 3-day European Security Summit last week Thursday, 15 October, with over 380 delegates in attendance and 57 leaders, policymakers and experts speaking across 9 interactive sessions on cyber and public security.
The Summit was opened by Portugal’s Minister of Defence, João Gomes Cravinho, followed by Margaritis Schinas, Vice President of Promoting our European Way of Life from the European Commission, of whom had set the discussion tone of summit. While on the closing day, Ylva Johansson, European Commissioner for Home Affairs and Krum Garkov, Executive Director of eu-LISA shared their work and vision in the area of European internal security.
Throughout the event, delegates watched insightful discussions and debates from senior representatives from the European Commission, ENISA, Europol, NATO, Department of Homeland Security (USA), National Cyber Security Centre of Finland, EEAS, Frontex, United Nations Counter-Terrorism Centre, just to name a few.
