Event Summary

The fourth edition of the EU|UK Forum Annual Conference made its in-person debut, along with continuing its virtual presence, on Tuesday 4 February 2025. Over 200 in-person delegates, in addition to approximately 300 virtual attendees, joined us for insightful discussions about the future of EU-UK collaboration.

The conference brought together stakeholders from various sectors including government, industry, trade, and media. In facilitating meaningful dialogue about topics as varied as economic growth, European competitiveness, sustainability, and defence, the event explored both the challenges and opportunities that could emerge from a closer working relationship between the EU and the UK.

Five years on from Brexit, and given the evolving nature of EU-UK dynamics, this conference occurred at an opportune moment. Just a day before the event, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer met with EU leaders in Brussels as part of his envisioned “reset” in EU-UK relations. Moreover, Gideon Skinner, Head of Politics and Public Affairs at Ipsos UK, shared exclusive polling data with attendees, revealing Britons' views on Britain's exit from the EU, based on a survey conducted by Ipsos in January 2025.
