Event Summary

The fourth edition of EIT Food’s Future of Food Conference took place fully in-person for the first time this year, with the morning plenary sessions also streamed virtually. The event gathered over 300 participants from 32 countries, with another 80+ viewing the stream online.

In the lead-up to COP 27, this edition of the event was dedicated to exploring how agrifood innovation can enable and accelerate the decarbonisation of the EU’s food system. After an opening plenary session exploring this macro-issue, a selection of highly interactive breakout sessions and workshops took place focusing the discussion on specific aspects, such as the role of consumers and youth, climate smart agriculture, and sustainable aquaculture.
