On 3rd December, a joint meeting of the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) Journalists' & Networking Task Force was held in Brussels. The meeting was followed in the afternoon by the launch of the inaugural 'Women Inspiring Europe' Calendar - a showcase of 12 of Europe’s most remarkable women and their achievements and success stories.
The 2nd Annual European E-Commerce Conference, hosted by EMOTA and EDiMA. took place on the 2nd December at the Crowne Plaza - La Palace. The event brought together over 200 delegates for an interactive debate on the policy and business dimensions impacting upon e-commerce.
The inaugural European Data Protection and Privacy Conference took place in Brussels on 30th November 2010. This high level event brought together over 300 of Europe's leading data protection and privacy experts, policymakers and other stakeholders for a full and interactive discussion on how to create a modern and harmonised regulatory framework.
Now in its 3rd year and a fixture in the stakeholder calendar, this year’s European NGT Conference explored the current state of play with regards the role out of Next Generation Networks and the promotion and deployment of broadband on a competitive basis across Europe.
More than 250 stakeholders once again gathered in Brussels on 23rd & 24th June for the 5th Annual European Spectrum Management Conference - the leading event of the year for EU and worldwide spectrum professionals.
The Integrated Border Management Conference 2010 once again brought together the key policy-makers, governmental agencies, industry players and other stakeholders, to debate the policy and practical issues relating to the management of Europe's borders.
An initiative from the British Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and hosted by Accenture, this conference was a major opportunity for the border management community to engage with each other at a time when border security issues are high on the political agenda.
The first “Click for Growth” Conference was co-organised by eBay, PayPal, and Deutsche Post DHL and was held in Brussels on 9 June 2010. The conference illustrated the importance of the sector and the much broader value of the supply chain services as drivers of growth and competitiveness which provide consumers with choice and value, and small businesses with access to a wider market, and ultimately aimed to encourage the development of an effective EU regulatory environment.
The event brought together top level speakers from industry, EU institutions and consumer organisations and we were glad to welcome such a diverse range of delegates.
On the 2nd June 2010 in Brussels, Forum Europe organised the 2nd Consumer Rights Directive Forum. The event was kindly sponsored by Amway and FEDSA, with the support of Strategis Communications. It was attended by over 120 delegates from across a wide range of sectors and Vice President of the European Commission Viviane Reding and Evelyne Gebhardt MEP delivered the keynote presentations.
The 2nd Annual Internet of Things 2010 conference joined together business leaders, consumer advocates, policymakers and entrepeneurs to explore what opportunities and risks the Internet of Things will offer businesses and consumers, and how these will re-shape our interactions with the real and virtual worlds in the coming years.
Hosted by Assonime, Kreab Gavin Anderson and Bank of America Merrill Lynch, the event saw more than 400 senior bankers and policy-makers from around the world gather to debate the issues affecting European and global financial markets.
In support of the European Union’s efforts to achieve its ambitious emission reduction targets, more than 200 top level representatives from the financial services and energy communities came together in Brussels on 24th March for ‘Financing Europe’s Energy Needs and Climate Action in the 21st Century’ - a conference hosted by Fleishman-Hillard and Barclays Capital and organised by Forum Europe.
Organised by Forum Europe with the support of EAS & CIAA, this high level & interactive conference focussed on EU nutrition regulation, examining how successful it has been to date and where the regulatory balance may lie in the future.
